How do I apply for a position at Leander ISD?
Please fill out an online application on our website. All applicants are required to have a submitted application to be considered for any position in Leander ISD.
If certified teacher applicant:
Please submit an online application and include the required documentation:
- Resume
- Cover Letter
- Transcripts showing degree conferred
- Valid Texas teaching certificate
If non-certified teacher applicant:
Please submit an online application and include the required documentation:
- Resume
- Cover letter
- Transcripts showing degree conferred
- Alternative certification program acceptance letter
- Statement of Eligibility (SOE) for Internship form
Must be immediately eligible for a Texas probationary certificate
If out-of-state teacher applicant:
Please submit an online application and include the required documentation:
- Resume
- Cover letter
- Transcripts showing degree conferred
- Out-of-state teaching certificate
- Texas one-year certificate, if available
- To obtain Texas certification:
- Complete an application request and pay associated fees for a review of credentials to obtain a one-year certificate
- Complete an application request and pay associated fees for a national background fingerprint check through the Texas Education Agency (www.tea.state.tx.us)
If non-teaching applicant:
Please submit an online application and include the required documentation for the position(s) that you are applying for.
I have already registered to apply online, but my log-in credentials are not working. What should I do?
Your username is the complete email address you entered to register. The username and password are both case-sensitive. Please contact [email protected] for further assistance.

How can I schedule an interview with HR?
Interviews are conducted at the campus or department level and are initiated by the hiring manager or principal.
Do I need to mail in official transcripts for the application process?
No, an unofficial or official copy of your transcripts uploaded to your application is sufficient. If you are offered and accept a position, an official hard copy of your transcripts will be required.
Do I have to be certified to teach?
Leander ISD requires that all teaching applicants have a valid Texas teaching certificate. For more information on becoming certified to teach in Texas, please contact the State Board of Educator Certification (SBEC) at 512-936-8400 or tea.texas.gov.
