What do I need to join Leander ISD Transportation?

  • Valid Texas driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Be at least 21 years of age

What is the starting pay?

There are many factors that influence the starting pay but we do offer full paid training and a starting rate of $22.20 when you become a licensed Bus Operator!

Do I get benefits?

Yes! The current positions that are eligible for benefits are: Bus Operator, Bus Monitor, Crossing Guard 20+ hours per week and any staff positions that may be listed. If you have further questions regarding benefits, please visit this page.

What are the hours?

Your hours are dependent on the route that you receive. We also have opportunities for more hours, including mid-day routes and field trips. Leander ISD is the leader in field trips for this area!
