In partnership with the National Inventors Hall of Fame, LISD is pleased to offer Camp Invention Connect, an at-home version of the Camp Invention program. The camps feature an exciting, weeklong summer adventure exploring science, technology, engineering, and innovation. Camp Invention Connect is coached by LISD teachers in two, four-week sessions for children entering grades K–6. Sign up information can be found here.
The National Inventors Hall of Fame started Camp Invention as an educational outreach program at two schools in 1990. In 1999 it became a joint project with the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Since its inception, Camp Invention has expanded to schools nationwide. Leander ISD has hosted summer Camp Inventions since the summer of 2002.
