The camp features an exciting, weeklong summer adventure exploring science, technology, engineering, and innovation. Camp Invention Illuminate is coached by LISD teachers in two, one-week sessions for children entering grades K–6. This year we are hosting week one at Ronald Reagan Elementary July 8-12, 2024 and week two at Winkley Elementary, June 10 – June 14, 2024. Register to attend either week that fits your child’s summer needs. Cost per week is $295 and the camp runs from 9:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. each day.

The National Inventors Hall of Fame started Camp Invention as an educational outreach program at two schools in 1990.  In 1999 it became a joint project with the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Since its inception, Camp Invention has expanded to schools nationwide.  Leander ISD has hosted summer Camp Inventions since the summer of 2002.
