Property and Auto Insurance Program

Risk Management manages a broad and complex blanket of property and auto insurance coverages for all district facilities and fleet of vehicles.

Liability Coverage

Public school districts are immune for bodily injury to students and the public (except for limited liability for negligent operation and use of a motorized vehicle) as provided by Texas Tort Claims Act 101.021 and 101.051. To report an incident to Risk Management: Student/Visitor Injury Report or Property Damage Claim

Insurance Plans

The district offers several voluntary low-cost student insurance coverage plans for parents or guardians who wish to purchase coverage for their children. It is available online through K–12 Student Insurance Plans (Student Insurance Flyer – English| Student Insurance Flyer – Spanish). For more information, please call 1-800-367-5830.
