Citizens’ Facility Advisory Committee (CFAC) Application

  • The Citizens’ Facility Advisory Committee (CFAC) is a committee of parents, business and community members, teachers, principals, and other district staff who serve as an advisory committee to develop comprehensive facility recommendations that support the evolving needs of the school district. These recommendations to the Board will include: facility improvements, new construction, and renovations, as well as appropriate ancillary spaces (such as athletic, science, arts, and other support areas), technology infrastructure, and safety enhancements needed to achieve district priorities.

    Information Technology
    Safety and Security

    Meeting information:
    Location: In-person meetings at the Leander Extended Opportunity Center (LEO)
    Expectation: 4-5 meetings, with additional meetings added at the individual subcommittee level as needed
    Plan to meet on Tuesdays from 6 p.m.-7:30 p.m.

    Anticipated Dates:
    Wednesday, Feb. 11 (Kickoff)
    Tuesday, March 3
    Tuesday, April 7
    Tuesday, May 5

    The deadline to submit an application for consideration for the 2026 CFAC Committee is Sunday, Feb. 1. Please note that submitting an application does not guarantee selection for service. It is important we ensure each campus is represented to the best of our ability.

    To serve on the Citizens’ Facility Advisory Committee, you must be a resident of Leander ISD.

    We will notify you if you have been selected by the end of the day Wednesday, Feb. 4.
