For Summer 2023, Leander ISD is offering a virtual Young Writers Camp to provide a safe, fun and academically challenging experience for students.

All camp instruction is sponsored by an approved Leander ISD teacher. Registrations will be accepted through July 14, 2023. Please select your camps carefully as there are no refunds.

Young Entrepreneurs Camp (freshINCedu/mxINCedu):
Incoming 5th through 8th graders

Students will be exposed to and empowered by the entrepreneurship start-up process, by working in teams to utilize creative problem solving, communication, and collaboration to develop a product, pitch their idea, and “launch” their business.

Young Writers Camp for Middle School:
Incoming 6th-graders through incoming 8th-graders

Leander ISD Young Writers Camp for Middle School Students is designed for writers of all abilities and attitudes! 21st century literacy and communication skills require practice and application opportunities, and writing camp helps all our young writers grow in their craft to meet the demands of an ever-changing world. Camp instructors will provide small group instruction and one-on-one conferencing to take writers to the next level by building skills relevant to their writing proficiency both inside and outside of school.

  • When: July 17–21
  • Times: 8 a.m.–1 p.m.
  • Where: Virtual. Zoom links will be provided to registrants prior to the start of the camp
