Testing Sites

Visit the Texas Department of State Health Services testing site for a list of testing sites across Texas.

Testing site guidelines

  • Some sites may require physician referral or prior authorization, and the site may change their requirements daily, so please call the site to confirm requirements.
  • Some sites may not test an individual who does not currently have COVID-19 symptoms.
  • It is strongly recommended that employees wait at least 5 days from exposure before testing to minimize false negative results.

Helpful information to review prior to visiting a clinic/test site

  • Does the testing site require a physician referral? Some sites may require a physician referral or prior authorization. The testing site requirements are subject to change daily. Please call the site to confirm requirements.
  • Is the testing site in-network for my insurance provider? Call ahead to verify if the testing site accepts insurance. Each of the LISD BCBS medical plans are under the Blue Choice PPO network.
  • Will I have any cost upfront? Testing sites and or clinics may require a physician consultation or telemedicine visit prior to administering the test. The consultation will apply to your plan coverage, which may result in upfront costs (i.e. copays/deductible).
  • What type of test does the testing site offer? Call ahead to verify the test type offered (COVID-19 diagnostic, Antibody, etc.).
