School Construction (Design Only)
Project Scope
Leander ISD’s Early College High School opened in 2022, and it is housed within the Austin Community College San Gabriel campus.
Early College High School (ECHS) is an open-enrollment high school that allow students an opportunity to receive both a high school diploma and either an associate degree or at least 60 college credit hours toward a baccalaureate degree.
This new facility will be adjacent to the San Gabriel campus. The funding from Bond 2023 covers design costs only. The remaining funds for the new facility would appear in a future bond.
Project Status
- At the Feb. 1, 2024 Board meeting, Trustees approved the addition of portables. Currently, ECHS is housed in the campus’ main building; however, ACC will be utilizing all of the main building’s space starting August 2024.
- Fall 2024 (Estimated)
Work on this project will begin with the Design phase. - August 2023
At the Aug. 24, 2023 Board meeting, Trustees approved the architect and construction manager.

Note: The actual cost will be listed here upon project completion. Any money leftover from the budget goes into project savings, managed by the Bond Oversight Committee.
