Leander ISD 2037 is Leander ISD’s long range planning process — a strategic, districtwide effort to ensure schools, facilities, staffing, and programs are aligned to best serve students, now and in the future. As enrollment patterns continue to shift, we must ensure that our schools and resources remain aligned to deliver excellence into the future. Through this process, we will draft a long-term strategic vision for the district that will include processes to reduce inefficiencies and invest in educational opportunities that families want for their children. The ultimate goal is to continue providing high-quality learning environments for all students in Leander ISD.

The Leander ISD 2037 planning process is intended to ensure the district remains a premier choice for families while adapting to the competitive education landscape. Leander ISD is using community feedback and district data to proactively plan for the future. 

Through Leander ISD 2037, Leander ISD plans to:

1. Support strong academic outcomes 
2. Provide expanded opportunities for students 
3. Ensure the district continues to responsibly use resources for  long-term sustainability

Because Leander ISD is undergoing this strategic planning process, the district has a unique opportunity to look comprehensively at how the district’s facilities, programming and staff are organized to best serve students. Possible outcomes may include:

• Expanding or replicating successful programs
• Redesigning or reconfiguring campuses
• Rezoning attendance boundaries
• Consolidating or repurposing schools
• Exploring new or alternative instructional models

The district will explore multiple strategies, including expanding programs, redesigning campuses, adjusting attendance boundaries, consolidating underused spaces, or launching new school models with the aim of improving access  and opportunity for all students.
