Leander ISD serves high school students through New Hope High School during the school day and the Twilight Program in the evening.
NHHS is a small school environment with supportive teachers and a self-paced curriculum In 1997, the promise of an alternative route to high school graduation started with a single teacher, who was fully committed to helping students graduate.
Today, LISD continues to provide an alternative way for students to complete their high school education through a self-paced, teacher-facilitated online curriculum with opportunities for small group learning experiences.
The LISD Twilight Program was established during the 2011-2012 school year to meet the needs of students, who based on life circumstance, needed an alternative to the traditional high school schedule to complete graduation requirements.
Any LISD senior, at-risk of not graduating in four years, may be able to utilize this program to recover course credit in the evenings at Leander High School from 5:30 p.m. — 8:30 p.m., Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays throughout the school year.
The Twilight Program is facilitated by caring LISD high school teachers who actively manage student learning in the computer lab and assist students in learning.
