The Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) has re-elected Leander ISD Board of Trustee member Will Streit to a three-year term on the TASB Board of Directors, representing TASB Region 13, position B.

Streit was elected to the LISD Board of Trustees in May 2008 and is currently serving as vice president. He previously served as board president from 2015-17 and 2009-12. He also volunteers on the Lone Star Investment Pool Board, to which he was appointed in July 2013.

Streit completed the education studies undergraduate program at the University of California San Diego (UCSD) and completed his student teaching at the elementary level. In addition, he graduated from UCSD with a Bachelor of Arts in history, political science, urban planning and philosophy.

He earned his Master of Business Administration from Duke University and his master's degree in history from Sam Houston State University. Streit, who also holds professional certificates in accounting and finance, is director of business development at IBM.
