Dan Troxell, Superintendent of Leander ISD, is announcing today his appointment of Niki Prindle, current principal of River Place Elementary School, to be the new principal of Whitestone Elementary School.

“Ms. Prindle is a dedicated leader with experience in best instructional practices for elementary classrooms and a strong belief in supporting student achievement. She is passionate about working with the students, parents and teachers at Whitestone,” Dr. Troxell said. “Throughout her career, Ms. Prindle has shown an impressive dedication to education and a deep passion for student learning.”

The selection of Ms. Prindle was based on survey responses the district received from parents and staff. After reviewing feedback, the district selected a leader who is professional, respectful and ethical in all interactions.

Ms. Prindle began her teaching career in 1998 in Fort Worth, Texas, at an early learning center. Ms. Prindle then served Round Rock ISD as an elementary teacher for five years. In 2005, she joined LISD to serve as an assistant principal at Naumann Elementary School and later moved to Westside Elementary School. She has served as principal at River Place Elementary School since 2010.

Ms. Prindle earned her bachelor’s degree from Austin College in Sherman, Texas, and her master’s degree from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth.
