Leander ISD is proud to name Rouse High School's Keaton Pugh as our Fine Arts Student of the Week.

Keaton has been a three year member of the choir council and a section leader. He was in the show choir for two years and has competed in the All-State Choir audition process all four years of his high school career. In all four years Keaton advanced to the penultimate level of the competition. Keaton has been awarded numerous solos and leading roles and has participated in all of the top choirs at Rouse High School. He has demonstrated outstanding musical competence and ability. Keaton has earned superior ratings at UIL Concert and Sight-Reading Contest and at the State UIL Solo Contest. He has played in lead in the all school musical the past two years as Benny in In the Heights and Shrek in Shrek the Musical. Keaton strives for musical excellence in both rehearsal and performance.

Perhaps even more impressive than his ability as a musician, Keaton's leadership skills truly stand out. He is a three-year member of the choir council and a section leader.

"Keaton is a person of high moral character – he is trustworthy, honest and dependable," said Rouse Director of Choirs Brenda Justice. "He is positive, friendly and supportive of his peers.  This combination of traits makes Keaton a superior leader."

Keaton is an outstanding musician and person, and we are proud to have him represent Leander ISD and Rouse High School as the LISD Fine Arts Student of the Week.
