LISD spellers lead the way at Austin Spelling Bee

Leander ISD is well represented in this year's Austin Regional Spelling Bee and has the highest number of participants among the area's school districts. 
A dozen of the 47 students that will compete Sunday in the bee hail from LISD schools:

Block House Creek Elementary – Emory Rodgers

Camacho Elementary – Meadow Stevens

Canyon Ridge Middle School – Akash Shah

Cedar Park Middle School – Eshan Bharadwaj

Charlotte Cox Elementary – Natalie Vuong

Laura Welch Bush Elementary – Avery LaRusso

Reed Elementary – Julianne Choe

River Place Elementary – Ninaad Nair

Running Brushy Middle School – Rachel Poycattle

Rutledge Elementary – Natasha Nahvi

Steiner Ranch Elementary – Mary Kate Liechty

Westside Elementary – Kenzie Vo

The Austin Regional Spelling Bee is open to the public.  Tickets are $10 (General Admission) and can be purchased online at: www.austinspellingbee.com

The Austin Regional Spelling Bee will crown one winner who will be receive an expense paid trip to the 2018 Scripps National Spelling Bee in Washington DC.  Austin residents and families will be able to watch this winner live on the ESPN event broadcast in May.
