Ansley Herrin VRHS

Ansley Herrin, a junior at Vista Ridge High School, has been named the Leander ISD Student-Athlete of the Week. Herrin is a two sport athlete, participating in the Lady Ranger golf and basketball programs. Last year, Herrin was a 2nd Team All-District basketball player, who works extremely hard to be the best she can be on the basketball court and on the golf course.

While juggling an intense practice and competition schedule, Herrin is also a member of the National Honor Society, the Spanish National Honor Society, and is on the Leadership Team for her youth group at church. In the classroom, Herrin is a straight A student at the top of her class. Head Girls Basketball coach Keith Allen states, “Ansley is an example of what a student-athlete should be. She works hard to be a great basketball player, and is a very good golfer. She works hard in the classroom and is a great person. Ansley shows up everyday with willingness to work and with a positive attitude”.

Ansley Herrin demonstrates what it means to be a true student-athlete, and Leander ISD is proud to name her as Student-Athlete of the Week.
