Summer Sports Camps

• Camp Information- Released March 13, 2020
• Camp Registration- We are excited to announce that we have some summer camp information to pass along to you! During the month of June, hopefully beginning June 8, we will hold Strength and Conditioning Camps for grades 7-12. These camps will be held at our six high schools and will be outdoors only. Our coaches are excited to have this opportunity and are working hard to put plans in place that will follow guidelines from the UIL in order to create safe environments for athletes and staff. Registration starts June 1, so check out the Leander ISD Athletic Department web-page to get registered and for more details regarding the camp you will attend. Please contact the camp director if you are interested in scholarship information. Additional camps we may be able to offer in July will be determined in late June, so stay tuned and keep checking out our website for updates.

• Leander ISD high school cheerleading programs are proud to lead the charge to a being a recognized UIL activity.
• Our process of team selection by coaches rather than judges has put LISD in the forefront of building a championship-caliber athletic cheer program.
• During the tryouts, athletes are evaluated on their execution of skills in six categories: cheer, dance, advanced jumps, stunting, standing tumbling and running tumbling.
• Team selection is determined by positions in stunting and the level of execution of skills aforementioned skills, just as any athlete is evaluated in their sport.
• Announcement of teams are posted after the tryout week has ended.
