District plans committees to evaluate new programs

The Districtwide Educational Improvement Council (DWEIC), a standing committee charged with approving the district’s improvement plan, will evaluate potential new programs in advising the Board of Trustees in possible future action items. Programs being considered for evaluation increase access to special programs and extracurricular activities, including expanding junior varsity sports, UIL A+ Academics program, and special academic models for elementary, middle, and high schools.
