General Spectator Information

Changes in guidance from State and local government, and the TEA and UIL to the public health situation may necessitate changes to this document

Tickets & Seating

Due to COVID-19, a capacity limit has been implemented for all UIL events this season. This is subject to change based on State and local government and TEA and UIL guidelines.  

Required Screening

Anyone attending the football game, must complete the self-screening COVID-19 questions. Anyone experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, must not attend the game.

Social Distancing

  • Groups should maintain at least six feet of distance from other groups at all times.
  • The UIL defines a group as no more than 10 people including the members of the household and those persons who traveled together to the facility.
  • Fan and spectator areas including bleachers, stands, walkways, and other spectator areas should be at least six feet from team /group areas such as team benches or performance areas.
  • Facilities will have designated places to sit to encourage social distancing. 
    • Blue “X’s” or black and yellow caution tape mean don’t sit here. Spaces with no tape on them are spaces available to sit on.

Facial Coverings

  • Executive Order GA-29 regarding face coverings, applies to all UIL activities. 
  • All employees, parents, visitors and students must wear face coverings or face shields upon entry to an area where UIL activities are being conducted and when not actively practicing or playing in the contest. Face coverings must be worn for the duration of the event.

Passes Accepted

Due to COVID-19 and the capacity limitation, we will only be accepting the following passes this season:

  • UIL District Passes
  • Leander ISD Employee badge
  • Gold Cards
  • TGCA, THSCA, THSADA
    • Anyone entering with TGCA, THSCA, THSADA must enter and sit on the visitor side.

Hand Sanitizer

  • Stations will be placed throughout the facilities

Restrooms & Water Fountains

  • Water fountains will not be available for use.
  • While all restrooms will be open, social distancing in them is encouraged and certain sinks and stalls will not be available for use.

Concession Stands

  • Staff, contractors, and volunteers involved in food service are required to wear face coverings as described in Executive Order GA-29 and complete a pre-screening for COVID-19
  • Only prepackaged food and drinks will be sold.
  • Sites should only provide condiments or flatware upon request and in single use, individually wrapped items.
  • Should maintain social distances while waiting in line.  
  • Cash sales should be limited. If possible, use credit cards if possible.

Field/Court Access & Special Events

  • Field/court access will be extremely limited. Only players, coaches, and school support staff will be allowed onto the field.
  • No fans or parents will be allowed onto the field/court at the conclusion of the game. Players will go directly to the locker room.
  • Media and photographers will be limited and must be credentialed. 
  • Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 restrictions, some special events that normally occur during a during season will be extremely limited. Head coaches and Principals will announce to their communities any special nights that will be allowed and when they will be held. 


Varsity Football

Tickets & Seating

Due to COVID-19, a capacity limit has been implemented for UIL events this season.

  • Reserved season tickets will not be sold this football season due to COVID-19 conditions and spectator limitations per UIL.
  • Tickets will only be available to purchase online. There will be no campus ticket sales or sales at the gate the night of the game.
  • Single game tickets will be available to purchase online to the public starting at 10 am the Monday before each game, and may be purchased up to 8:30 p.m. the night of a game.
  • Tickets will be limited to 4 tickets per purchaser.
  • Presale prices are $3 for students and $7 for adults. Beginning at 4:30 p.m. the day of a game, the prices will change to $8 for everyone.
  • Spectators are expected to maintain a safe social distance,  wear a mask according to Executive Order GA-29, and follow all other Leander ISD stadium guidelines.
  • Gates will open at 6 p.m.

Live Streaming

  • Varsity football games will be live streamed through the team’s chosen streaming service.

  • Tickets will only be available for purchase at the event site at the time of the contest.  There will not be any presale of tickets.
  • Tickets prices are $2 for students and $4 for adults.  
  • Leander ISD employee badge admits employee and immediate family members in LISD facilities only.
  • If game is being held at a regional stadium, both home and visitor sides will be utilized.

  • Will have a ticket taker and a door monitor to keep track of capacity
  • Tickets prices are $2 for students and $4 for adults. 
  • Competitions will only take place in the main gym. 
  • Leander ISD employee badge admits employee and immediate family members in LISD facilities only.
