Why Can't I Print to My Home Network Printer

Why can't I print to a network printer at home?

The district filter creates a secure tunnel over the internet back to the Leander ISD network. So in effect, a district device never leaves the district network, which is why resources on other networks are not accessible. The district does provide print services from home as follows:

  1. Using your LISD email, add your document as an attachment and email to lisdmobilerprint@leanderisd.org
    1. You must open a new email and attach the document. For example, you cannot use the share feature in Word to send the attachment.

    2. To print a Google document, attach the document. Do not send as a Drive link. You may need to download the document to your desktop first.

  2. A confirmation code will be emailed to you when your job is ready to be released.

  3. Go to the student Ricoh printer located in the library with your confirmation code.

  4. Login to the student Ricoh printer and release your job.
    1. Select the Card ID box, and enter your confirmation code.

    2. Select OK, then login.

  5. Enter the campus code for your campus in the box at the top of the prompt. This code will be shown on the student Ricoh printer in the library. You will only have to do this the first time you login. The code will be remembered after that.

  6. Select "Release My Print," then "Print All" to print all jobs.

  7. Be sure to logout when finished by selecting the "Login/Logout" button on the right side of the panel.
