The elementary curriculum provides the framework for instruction in
Leander ISD. It promotes understanding, facilitates the transfer of
knowledge to new and different settings and supports differentiation to
meet the needs of all students.
The curriculum is comprised of Essential Units of Study,
which are based on the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS), the
state standards. The Essential Units of Study are organized into
nine-weeks periods.

and Social Studies for each grade level, click on the appropriate grade
level tab above.
The Essential Units of Study are designed to ensure that
every LISD student, regardless of campus or teacher, receives the same
high quality curriculum. In alignment with the Leander ISD Learning
Model, the priority is to focus on student learning.
