Stiles Middle School Welcomes Maples as New Principal

Leander ISD Superintendent Dan Troxell, Ph.D., announced that Melody Maples will be the new principal at Stiles Middle School.

“Ms. Maples is a passionate leader with a strong curriculum and instruction background,” Troxell said. “She believes in creating a community focused on student success. I am confident in her ability to build upon the incredible culture that Stiles MS is known for in our district.”

Maples has experience in school administration at McNeil High School and Walsh Middle School in Round Rock ISD. She also served as a social studies teacher and coach in RRISD and Wisconsin.

“I am excited to be joining the Leander ISD family. It is a privilege to be given the opportunity to work alongside the amazing staff of Stiles Middle School and serve the Spartan community,” Maples said.

Maples holds a bachelor’s degree from Winona State University in Minnesota and a master’s degree from Concordia University in Austin.
