Simpson Named New Principal of Leander High School

A photo of Chris Simpson.Chris Simpson has been named the new principal of Leander High School, Leander ISD Superintendent Dan Troxell, Ph.D. announced today.

“I am pleased to announce Chris Simpson as the new principal for Leander High School,” Troxell said. “Mr. Simpson is a strong instructional leader who has demonstrated an ability to create a campus learning culture with a clear focus on student growth and high achievement.”

Simpson has been a part of LISD for 17 years. He currently serves as the principal at Wiley Middle School, a position he has held since 2014. Previously, he was an assistant principal at Wiley Middle School and Rouse High School.

Simpson earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas in Austin and a master’s degree in educational administration from Lamar University in Beaumont.
