Case Connor, a junior from Vista Ridge High School, will be competing as part of the United States team at the upcoming Men's Under-19 World Floorball Championships (WFC) to be held in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada from May 8-12.

Case, No. 46, will support Team USA in the forward position as the top 16 teams in the world go for the gold.

Just last November, being part of the national team was a dream for the VRHS standout. Case worked hard to hone his skills, and he has achieved his goal. As he prepares to step onto the world stage, Connor recalls what led him to floorball.
"I've played hockey for a long time," he said. "I saw on social media that people were doing tricks with floorball sticks. I wanted a floorball stick to try it. I got it, and then I looked into it. I was like wow this is a cool sport. I tried it out and just fell in love with it."

Despite the distance between Connor and his teammates, this year's roster has had more opportunities to play together than any previous U.S. team. Over the past nine months, he and members of the roster played together at the premier floorball tournaments in the U.S., including the U.S. National Championships last August; the Golden Gate Cup in San Jose, C.A. in November; and the Texas Open in March of this year. Additionally,Connor competed in Uppsala, Sweden, at the Storvreta Cup over Christmas break as part of a development team.

This year's tournament will air on the IFF YouTube channels 1 and 2, and the schedule can be found on the tournament site at floorball2019.com.

Connor scored his first International goal and his team beat New Zealand and Japan at the World Floorball Championships. This is the team's third time on the Championship level. Congratulations to Case and Team USA for your accomplishments!
