Because some parents or guardians may not have medical coverage for their children, the district offers several  low-cost student insurance coverage plans on line at www.k12studentinsurance.com.

Public school districts are immune for bodily injury to students and the public (except for limited liability for negligent operation  and use of a motorized vehicle) as provided in the Texas Tort Claims Act, section 101.001 et seq. and section 101.051 et seq. of the Texas Civil Practices and Remedies Code.
