Leander ISD will begin accepting applications for candidates for the Leander ISD’s May 12, 2012 Board of Trustees Election on Wednesday, February 8, 2012. The deadline for filing for a place on the May 12th ballot is Monday, March 5, 2012, at 5:00 p.m.

All school board positions are three-year terms and represent the entire school district. All Leander ISD residents registered to vote may run for any place in the Board of Trustee election. Two board positions will be up for election this year:

Place #1 – Currently held by Lisa Mallory
Place #2 – Currently held by Don Hisle

The last day residents may register to vote in the upcoming election is Thursday, April 12, 2012.

Early voting for the LISD board election begins on Monday, April 30 and runs through Tuesday, May 8. Early voting will be held at numerous early voting locations in both Williamson and Travis counties. Any LISD resident may vote early at a location within their county of residence. Full-time, part-time and mobile early voting sites will be posted when confirmed by Williamson and Travis counties.

Election Day voting will be held from 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 12, 2012.
