Passing Rates for End-of-Course Exams
Jun 11 2012 - 09:54:00 pm
The STAAR/EOC district results were recently released, and we are very pleased with the overall percent of students who met the Level II Satisfactory performance standard. We realize there is still work to be done especially on moving more students to meet the Level III Advanced performance standard.

We are particularly proud of how our students performed in math, science and social studies especially in this first year of the STAAR/EOC era. While there is still room for growth in writing, our scores are 21 percentage points higher than the State on writing and we will continue to improve our processes to address this area.

Level II indicates passing, which is deemed Satisfactory. Level III is considered advanced, and the final column shows what percentage met the standard if the 2016 standards were applied to these scores. Note that STAAR/EOC standards will be raised and phased in through 2016.

LISD students, staff and parents worked hard to prepare for the STAAR/EOC, and their efforts are evident in the district results. Read more information on STAAR/EOC.
