Thank you for your interest in substituting for LISD. This can be a very challenging job but also very rewarding one. Our students, faculty and administration all appreciate substitute teachers and support their efforts in our classrooms across the district.

In a students’ school career of 12-13 years, the equivalent to 1 year of instruction will be provided by substitutes! It is critical that this instruction be worthwhile and in line with the district's curriculum. With this webpage, we hope to provide helpful resources and information that will support and assist substitute teachers in LISD when preparing to carry out their duties and responsibilities.
