Board Meetings and Agendas |
|
The Leander ISD Board typically meets on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of each month.
The first meeting of the month rotates between Four Points Middle
School (9700 Mc Neil Drive in Austin) and the LISD Technology Services
building (315 S. West Dr. in Leander). The second meeting of the month
is held at Cedar Park Middle School (2100 Sun Chase Blvd, off of Cypress
Creek Rd. in Cedar Park).
The first scheduled meeting each month is a Board work session, with the second meeting set aside for action on pending issues. All Leander ISD Board of Trustees meetings begin at 6:15 p.m. Agendas for all board meetings are posted at the LISD Central Office 72 hours prior to each meeting. Additional meetings may be scheduled with 72 hours notice. NOTE: The Leander ISD Board of Trustees will usually meet once in the month of December due to the Christmas holidays. The summer schedule for board meetings may also change, so please check the district calendar for details. |

Citizen Comments
The Leander ISD’s Board of Trustees meets twice each month, normally on
the first and third Thursdays. The first-Thursday meeting is the
monthly Workshop Meeting, where posted items are discussed with staff
providing presentations and data on these agenda items. The
third-Thursday Board Meeting is where most action items are voted upon,
and where student and staff achievements are recognized. These
meetings begin at 6:15 p.m. and the LISD Board provides an opportunity
for Citizen Comments at each regular board meeting.
Please note that Citizen Comments are an opportunity for parents and community members to share their thoughts and concerns on education issues and district operations. They are not a back-and-forth discussion with the Board, which – by law – may only deliberate on items posted on the meeting agenda. Specific personnel issues are not to be discussed during Citizen Comments, but should instead be taken up with the employee’s immediate supervisor. The Leander ISD Board of Trustees has adopted the following to facilitate the Citizen Comments process:
