txConnect

ANNOUNCEMENT: txConnect to become Home Access Center beginning July 2019

To ensure a student information system with long-term viability that will keep pace with the needs of our growing district, Leander ISD will implement eSchoolPLUS, a product of PowerSchool, as our new districtwide student information system (SIS). This system is designed to manage demographics, attendance, grades, schedules, discipline, assessment, and other information for the students in LISD.

iTCCS, tXConnect, and tXGradebook will be taken out of operation during early summer 2019, and eSchoolPLUS will launch as their replacement for the 2019–20 school year.

NEXT STEPS FOR FAMILIES

Beginning mid-July 2019:
With the implementation of our new student information system, LISD will have a new online student registration system for the upcoming school year. The system is a secure and green process, which allows you to verify all student demographic, emergency and medical information for your child prior to the start of the new school year. This process will help ensure the district has the most current contact information for each family. In addition, the new system will allow you to electronically sign the annual required permission forms.

Leander ISD will provide instructions on how to access the system through direct emails and district and campus websites. Please stay tuned for more information regarding the new and returning student online registration window. We will post reminders in late May and June.

Note: If your child is currently a student in Leander ISD, his/her information will be converted to the new system and parents will be asked to update the information in the new system.

Thank you for your patience as we work toward a smooth transition to what promises to be a better student information system. We wish all a productive end to the 2018–19 school year!

The orders are fulfilled by the Texas Department of State Health Services.)

Stay Engaged in Your Child's Education

The web portal txConnect allows parents and students to view grades, assignments (grades 3-12), STAAR (and TAKS) results, immunizations, attendance and discipline information (grades EE-12) online. LISD is committed to providing parents with the information they need to be engaged in their child's education, because research has shown that students tend to perform better in school when their parents are actively involved in their learning. The txConnect program will be the most comprehensive source for information regarding your child's academic progress.

With your txConnect account, you will be able to view, update and print the forms that make up your child(ren)'s first day of school packet. This form contains all pertinent data that is stored in our student information system (address, phone number, email address, emergency contact information). Another benefit of a txConnect account is that you will be able to view and print your student's interim progress report (IPR) and report card in txConnect rather than receiving one through the mail or in your student's Wednesday Folder.

Once you have successfully created an account, txConnect will keep you informed of your child's performance by automatically alerting you of unexcused absences and failing averages or assignment grades. You will receive these alert notifications with the email address you provided when you set up your account. You are able to subscribe to other alerts, or to turn off all alerts. Please select the “How do I set up/turn off automatic alerts for absences or failing grades?” links below.

LISD is striving to give you the tools you need to support your child's academic progress because your involvement has a significant impact on your child's achievement, both in school and throughout life. We hope that you will use txConnect to ensure that your child continues on a path to success.
