Superintendent Dan Troxell high-fives students.

Superintendent of Schools

I am excited for another great year of learning. Leander ISD continues to be a destination district for many reasons, not the least of which is the incredible commitment to excellence our community fosters each and every year. We live and work among talented, caring people that know the value of public education and its promise to all students to help prepare them for college, career and life.

From LISD Convocation on August 10 to LISD Graduation in May/June 2019, our journey together will undoubtedly be full of memorable experiences and challenges. Thank you for your support, dedication and enthusiasm for our shared purpose: to engage, inspire and achieve for lifelong success. I look forward to working with you during what promises to be an exceptional year of learning.

It is also important to continue the learning process and avoid the “summer slide” that can really hamper the academic growth of a child.
