Grandview Hills Elementary School

Grandview Hills Elementary School

Opened in the fall of 2007, Leander ISD's 19th elementary school — Grandview Hills Elementary School — was the home to Leander ISD's first International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme. Grandview Hills Elementary is named for its surrounding community in northwest Austin.

In opening the school, one of the first things students did together was choose their new school's mascot — the Eagles. The Eagle mascot was a perfect choice for students who are "… Soaring to Success," the school's motto.
