Homebound Services

Homebound services are available to all LISD students, including general education and those served through Section 504 or special education.

Per TEA guidelines, a student can only be considered for homebound services if a licensed physician (MD) recommends that a student be confined to home or hospital for medical reasons lasting 4 or more weeks. Based on the medical information, a Section 504 or ARD committee will meet to determine appropriate placement.

For general information, please read this Homebound Parent Information guide.

If after considering the information in the guide you feel homebound services should be considered for your student, please contact the appropriate campus personnel:

For further questions concerning eligibility and procedures, you may contact LISD Homebound coordinator Tara Stewart, via email or at 512-570-0311.
